Jobs and taxes up in smoke

I worked for many years with a tobacco company in Ireland. I retired six years ago. When I retired it was estimated that 31pc of the population smoked.
In the following years, cigarette packets have had more draconian health warnings added to them, people have been banned from smoking inside, and cigarettes cannot be on view in shops any more.
The latest research shows that following these changes 31pc of people still smoke.
