Job creation is our top priority

What, if anything, is the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Innovation doing to create jobs for the hundreds of thousands of people who, through no fault of their own, find themselves unemployed?
Surely, even this feeble, doddering excuse for a government can see that it is more productive to have people working and making a contribution to the economy than to have them relying on social welfare payments. It would also lift morale and stem the tide of emigration.
Could some of the billions that was pumped into NAMA not have been used to create jobs? Perhaps Batt O'Keeffe has plans, but many of us would appreciate being kept informed about what measures are being taken by his department to get people back working before all the healthy, willing and able have departed for foreign shores leaving the rest behind to gnaw on the bones of a long dead Celtic Tiger.
