Irish language media is alive and well

I THINK that Joe Langan (Letters, June 30) is living in the parallel world in which he accuses Gaeltacht Affairs Minister Pat Carey of living.

It may be news to him, but there is an Irish language media in this country.

Not alone do we have TG4 and Radio na Gaeltachta, but there are two weekly newspapers, 'Foinse' and 'Gaelsceal', as well as 'Saol', a monthly newspaper. There are also news outlets online giving the news from a Gaelic perspective.
