In safe hands
I refer to your article on Stephen Donnelly TD in 'Weekend Review' (February 11). What a relief to know that we need take no notice of what an opposition TD has to say on the bank bailout as the officials in the Department of Finance have worked it all out, having looked closely at the pros and cons in a cost-benefit analysis.
So we can be reassured and there is no need for public debate on the matter. Come to think of it, why bother with TDs at all or even elections as, after all, elections only produce wafflers who don't know what they are talking about. Might as well just leave the country to be run by the unelected officials in the Department of Finance. Hey hang on a minute....
