In name of the unmarried father

Another stupid verdict from the European Court of Justice decrees that an unmarried father has no legal rights regarding his children.

Effectively this means he cannot be their father but if he can't pay their mother for their upbringing, for whatever reason, he can be sent to jail.

What a sad world we live in when, on the one hand, same-sex couples are clamouring to adopt children -- and succeeding -- while a father needs permission if he wishes to visit his own.
