In brief: Fool . . . Prima donnas . . .Propaganda . . . Principles

The bleating of this Government that it is "following advice" (most recently the Attorney General's on ministerial pensions) brings to mind an old Irish saying: "He who accepts no advice is a fool, but he is a thousand times worse who accepts every advice."

  • Who remembers the first Costello coalition (1948 to 1951)? A government in crisis because of prima donnas in the parties -- But, they held together for three years to qualify for their ministerial pensions before calling an election.
