Surely the real culprits in our banking scandal are those financial markets that continued to loan money to our banking fraternity, knowing full well that they were feeding a financial bubble.
As a nation, we were deliberately built up to be knocked down and then rescued by the International Monetary Fund.
Africa and South America are littered with countries whose repayments of loans to the IMF for non-essential dams and infrastructure represent 70pc of their gross national product, thus keeping them impoverished.
