Like too many quangos in this State, the taxi regulator's office is clearly not doing the job the public expects it to do.

In simple terms, a taxi customer wants: l A clean taxi, regardless of it's age -- a two-year-old thrashed Passat can be in worse condition than a 15-year-old cared-for Mercedes.



  • A driver who understands where you want to go, and the best way of getting there.
  • A way of having a customer's complaint resolved within two working days.


Instead, the taxi regulator has let just about anyone drive a taxi, to the detriment of honest hard-working drivers who want to provide a decent service.
