Sir -- As one who enjoys his various over-the-top pronouncements, I thought Eilis O'Hanlon's lampooning of Eamon Dunphy was brilliant. I especially enjoyed her expressions of regret that, because he was not standing in the election, the country was going to be denied Dunphy's "great leadership qualities" at this time of crisis.
Meanwhile, Micheal Martin's use of the Cork accent to adopt an attitude of injured innocence is often very effective. So Gene Kerrigan's description of him as someone pretending to be 'a political virgin' was masterful.
Your writer went on to observe that Mr Martin says the country needs change because, as he was shocked to discover, the crowd previously in charge have destroyed it.
