Half-truths and downright lies

DECLAN Doyle's observation that "13 years of cowboy government" could not have happened without "the orchestration of the cowboy politics represented by the Fianna Fail hegemony" (Letters, June 18) is stunningly on the button.
It might also be said that failure to properly question what the Government is up to has contributed.
The previous night I watched Mary Harney being interviewed on RTE in which she was allowed to tell us that the A&E crisis had improved despite having that contention soundly rebuffed by all who actually work at the coalface.
