Green Party blind to role of church

Apart from denying the Catholic bishops their democratic right to comment on proposed legislation that attacks marriage, Green Party leader John Gormley fails to see that they are exercising the right he has allowed the church -- to "concentrate on looking after the spiritual needs of its flock and not intrude into temporal or state matters".

They are indeed looking after the spiritual needs of their flock when they defend marriage and its role in ensuring a stable society. Same sex "unions" do not have such a role.

The philosophy of the Green Party seems to owe more to the atheism and anti-religious philosophy of cultural Marxists than to a true concern for the natural environment that includes humankind.
