Greater gender gaps exist in other sectors

Now that the Government has announced it is tackling the gender imbalance in Dail Eireann by cutting funding to political parties who fail to nominate a minimum of 30pc female candidates, I take it we can expect to see similar initiatives aimed at tackling the even greater gender imbalances that exist in other professions.
For example, will this mean that schools that fail to ensure that at least 30pc of job candidates are male will have their funding cut by half?
Will hospitals and other female-dominated professions face similar financial sanctions for failing to reach gender quotas in job-selection interviews?
