Government has its finger on the pulse

It's Friday, so let's peruse the good ol' Indo and see what's going on in Ireland.
First off, on page 13, I read that a certain ex-minister, who, it was alleged, swore an incorrect affidavit, has been told that he has no case to answer.
Next, on page 18, I see that the man whose apparent misreading of the situation is widely believed to have propelled us into this financial fiasco, having retired early on an annual pension of more than €140,000 and having received a golden handshake of €630,000 (for, in my opinion, sleeping on the job), is still playing golf in a €2,400-per-year club.
