God and science do not mix well

It always seems so "convenient" when people talk about God being "outside the laws of nature" or existing as a "virtual being".
This line of reasoning poses more questions than it answers.
Frank O'Connor (Letters, September 10) makes several statements that he can have no possible way of knowing -- one of which is about "the human soul or consciousness, which is the only part of the universe that is relevant to God".
