Gerry Ryan's bequest put his children first

IT was a breath of fresh air to discover that Gerry Ryan left everything to his estranged wife. I think it's a commendable thing that he made sure his children would be taken care of if and when he passed on. My father was unfortunately not as honourable.

Masked by his addiction to alcohol, my father left everything to his partner, not his estranged wife, my mother. My two siblings and I have been left with a feeling of betrayal. People should not criticise Mr Ryan for not including his partner of two years in his will. He should be applauded for doing the right thing by his children.
