Futile campaign of the dissidents
IT IS no coincidence that the bomb attack on Palace Barracks by dissident republicans -- an attempt to murder innocent people -- took place in the early hours of Monday, when the devolution of justice and policing powers was imminent.
The dissidents sought maximum impact and devastation. Their plan was to use a car that had been given security clearance to drive the bomb right into the barracks.
These people fail to understand that they have no political mandate whatsoever from the Irish people.
