Fine Gaelers feel cheated by Enda

Published 24/02/2013 | 13:06

Madam – Are we finally getting a proper political party, a party willing to stand by its own manifesto and more importantly, our Constitution?

I welcome the news (Sunday Independent, February 17, 2013) that Declan Ganley may establish a new political movement. I, like many Fine Gael voters, feel cheated by Enda Kenny's lack of moral fibre to come good on his pre-election pro-life promise. Ganley's potential re-entry to politics gives me hope of a safer Ireland for mothers and their unborn babies. Do we want, as recently reported in the UK, to go down the road of legislating for limited abortion and winding up with over 200,000 abortions annually?
