FG must put money where its mouth is and stop casino plan
WITH the granting of planning permission for a casino in Co Tipperary without the necessary legislation being in place to allow it to be built, it appears that this complex is at odds with the ethos of the national spatial strategy in terms of size, design and location.
Have we learnt nothing from the planning fiascos of the last 20 years? Local concerns and private developer interests cannot be allowed to ride roughshod over matters of national interest.
Politics in Ireland must move on from its image of a system that is rife with corruption rather than one that adheres to national strategy and best practices.
