Farmers entitled to a fair price

If most of us were treated like farmers we would not be happy. I watched RTE's 'Frontline' a couple of weeks ago when the topic being debated was the price paid by multinationals for farm produce.
I was dismayed by the input of both Eddie Hobbs and Pat Kenny. Anyone would think they actually cared about the housewife and the price she pays for her groceries.
Farmers can't produce one cow and produce a free one, so why should their margins be reduced by the multinationals so that they can run such promotions on staple food items.
