• Last year, we hired Enda Kenny as farm manager for our Irish family farm. The last manager left the place in such a mess that it was actually in hock to the banks and their very distant shareholders, who know little and care less about our family or its tiny farm.
Enda's initial contract was for three to four years, but renewable (subject to good performance) for at least one, maybe two, similar periods.
At the top of the avenue, which is the only entry or exit to the homestead, there is a beautiful but ancient beech tree. Basically sound, it is very seriously in need of treatment and is currently dangerous.
