Family failed to support sister

Sir -- May I please thank Emer O'Kelly. I am seriously thinking of cutting out her article and sending it to my mother and other members of my family who, for the last ten or so years have refused to even acknowledge my sister's existence since she had the absolute cheek to break down and let us all know that she had been badly abused by church members and teachers (all Irish) in her childhood when we lived in Birmingham.
I am sure that there are many people out there who have been abandoned by their families for the greater good of the Church, the same people who are probably at this time of the day (Sunday 12.15pm) negotiating their way home from having a good pray to a God they cannot believe in. Because if they did, they would realise that they are going to have a problem explaining themselves at a higher court and act slightly differently. Sad and sick isn't it?
