Expenses culture is not acceptable

I find myself absolutely furious at reading in your paper that our parliamentarians are still persisting in the art of ripping us off. It is not acceptable for politicians to be signing for expenses and then not partaking in Dail votes.

I would suggest to Enda Kenny and Eamon Gilmore that change has to be introduced immediately, regarding the way deputies would qualify for their expenses. No payment should be forthcoming without their participation in all parliamentarian votes.

Don't the politicians have any sense of moral dignity or principal, as tens of thousands of misfortunate citizens are paying the price for political unaccountability presided over by the last administration?
