Europe must save its burning bacon

•Have the Americans, with the aid of the Chinese and the IMF, finally tasered a bewildered Brussels into agreeing to a fit-for-purpose rescue plan concerning the salvaging of the euro?
Just like Moses tapping the rock for water, the financial wizards have pulled a €3 trillion package from the economic wastelands. Is a degree of leadership and common purpose beginning to assert itself?
Let us not get too carried away just yet. The EU has yet to decide on what it aspires to be so its constituent members can come aboard. Currently it is completely lacking a compass. It has not the financial framework to be a cohesive economic block nor the vision to be a political entity.
