Energy-grant system simply unsustainable

THE Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has been given an "additional" €30m to spend on grant schemes -- launched to much fanfare two weeks ago. However, in the terms and condtions, they have removed the grants for sustainable energy systems such as pellet boilers, heat pumps, biomass boilers and wood gasification boilers.
They have also made it practically impossible for homeowners to get a grant for a solar system.
Furthermore, they have reduced the grants for gas boilers and oil boilers. The key is, they have kept those grants and these fuel sources are not sustainable. How can this be left under the radar? This must be brought to the public's attention.
