Empty promises from another Government

IN the days and weeks leading up to the general election, Enda Kenny and Eamon Gilmore's mantra was, if their parties were given a mandate to govern by the electorate, their very first priority was to go to Brussels and renegotiate the penal terms of the country's bailout.
They were given a huge majority, but now after almost four months in power this promise, along with most of their other pre-election promises seem to be just pie in the sky and it looks like there's not much difference between this Government and the previous incompetents.
