Emergency crew were fantastic

Madam –Two weeks ago I was going to collect my friend near Beaufort Village. When I arrived at his place I found that he had unfortunately collapsed and was in a bad way. I contacted the garda station in Killarney. Within 10 minutes, a garda had arrived, and behind him an ambulance. When they arrived my friend was still unconscious, and in spite of trying their best to revive him they could not.

With haste he was put on a stretcher, placed in the ambulance and taken to Kerry County Hospital.

Unfortunately he did not make a recovery, and died in the hospital two days later.

The speed and action of those in the garda station as well as the garda and ambulance crew who attended my friend was fantastic, and if there was any hope for him recovering they made sure that he received it.

There are many complaining about our services, but in my case on seeing what was done for my friend I can only say they are a fantastic bunch of people.

As he was a multi-organ donor there are now several people with a chance of a better way of living.
