Electric cars are worth the energy
While DK Henderson raises many valid points on the down side of electric cars (Letters, April 16), most of the "unanswered questions" have been asked and answered over 100 years ago.
The availability of charging points is rightly called into question, as was the access to fossil-fuel stations 100 years ago.
The cost is greater than conventional fossil-fuel powered cars. Again, 80 to 100 years ago the cost of a motor car was greater than a horse and cart.
