Egyptians yearn for democracy
One wonders what mental hoops Robert Fisk puts himself through in his daily bulletins from Egypt, in order to stop himself mentioning the D-word in relation to what's happening in Egypt, and elsewhere in the Middle East.
For those of us who don't have the eyes of Mr Fisk, it would seem that the people of the Middle East have a yearning for democracy and all that flows from that. Something along the lines of, dare I say it, Mr Fisk, Israel? Not paradise to be sure but a hell of a lot better than the dictatorships -- elected and otherwise -- that they suffer under at this point in time.
