Economic with the truth on the economy
I HAVE been following several discussions about where our economy is, where it is likely to go, and who can "rescue" it for the past three years. The debate seems to be splintered all over the place, and in a worst-case scenario it is very much a case of "my figures are more accurate than your figures". It sometimes seems to me that you can lead any Irish person by the nose if you tell them that someone disagreed with them.
In any small business, if things are looking stark, the first steps in sorting out the problem are fairly simple. You look at the value of your stock, and how much money is going in/out of the business.
You also look at what is most efficient in terms of money-generation and what is not, and why. In other words, before you can contemplate moving forward you have to figure out where you are in the first place.
