Drive down costs for ministers

IN the UK the 'Government Car and Despatch Agency' looks after the supply of ministerial cars and drivers. Rather than waste more money setting up a similar agency here, maybe the Government should just ask taxi drivers to tender for ministerial business.
Considering Garda drivers are earning roughly €70,000 a year, their removal alone would save money. It's time the Government got its own house in order before asking the voter to keep making sacrifices.
