Don't sell the family silver

DESPERATION in Government becomes ever so obvious. Sell the sky over our heads and the ground beneath our feet, but indiscriminate privatisation is the slippery road to disaster.

Get rid of the money-for-jam crony quango outfits by all means, but be wary of any decision to dispose of the State's essential family silver.

Most definitely not the ones that are "delivering", as suggested by Communication Minister Eamon Ryan.
