Madam – It is a great privilege to have columnists like Jody Corcoran, whose tenacity and courage have kept the Sean Gallagher scandal from being swept under the carpet by RTE. RTE cannot but be aware of the outrage of a vast number of people towards its attitude. Indeed, recently I again heard Pat Kenny saying to forget the whole matter and move on.
Are the authorities there fully aware of the great damage they have inflicted on a decent man? Do they care? On any other station heads would have rolled. Will any action be taken here? At least in the priest's case action was taken and he received reward and his reputation is enhanced. I hope somebody takes action on behalf of a badly wronged man.
