Different snouts but same trough
How wonderful that the Taoiseach-in-waiting, Labour Party leader Eamon Gilmore, (Irish Independent, December 4) is so graciously willing to cap his salary at the modest sum of €190,000.
Does our prospective Taoiseach really think he should be compensated that well? And does he think that the people of Ireland, who are being ground down daily, will tolerate this?
If this is any example of the great "changes at the top" that are to come, may God pity the ould sod. There really is no difference that I can see, "twixt Tweedledum and Tweedledee".
