• When Christine Lagarde starts megaphoning her peers about the imminent danger of a global financial depression to rival that of the 1930s, we had all better sit up and take notice. I hope Enda Kenny and his cohorts are listening particularly carefully.
Of course, dear Christine has got it only half right -- this time around it's going to be a whole lot worse as there's an extra five billion people involved and all of them will be looking to blame the cabal of financiers and their tame politicians (and the rest of their little helpers) who got us into the mess.
