Delusions of grandeur

Once again the English are suffering from delusions of grandeur if they believe that they have a divine right to host the World Cup at the expense of other allegedly corrupt nations.

While England may be the home of modern football, issues such as England's huge debt and the corruption of bankers in engaging in risky lending, which scuppered the economy, no doubt played a role in its failure to host the FIFA World Cup in the near future.
