Defending family is not an offence

With regards to Kevin James O'Mahony's recent letter calling David Quinn's arguments "homophobic bigotry" (Letters, June 23), since when is defending the traditional family bigotry?

Do only bigots believe that the form of a family has some impact on those in that family?

Lately, it seems all that one has to do to be called a bigot is to disagree with liberal dogma.
