Dail pensions the stuff of dreams

Michael Noonan's response to the revelation that he continues to receive a substantial ministerial pension while being paid handsomely as a sitting TD shows just how out of touch the political class is with the man in the street.
His statement that he makes a contribution to two charities equivalent to the pension he receives completely misses the point.
The public concern is that politicians have an extraordinary concoction of pay, pensions and perks, the sum total of which is beyond the wildest dreams of ordinary folk.
