• All the governments of Europe are preparing -- and praying -- for a quick and unmessy Greek exit from the euro. Nobody wants to be seen near the ledge, let alone giving the push.

Nevertheless, despite all the crocodile-tears, in reality they would all prefer to see the Greeks 'do the decent thing' and jump.

When somebody in the household is consistently putting the income on the horses, the entire family ends up going to the dogs and will end up in the dogs' home, pending the kindness of a stranger -- and if that is not forthcoming, being put down.
