Crackdown on boy racers is overdue

Gavin Harnan says in his letter of March 21 that not every driver with a loud exhaust is a boy racer with no respect for the law. He says his group is safety conscious and do not agree with modifications that compromise safety. Does he agree with modifications that cause noise nuisance?

Tinted windows are a danger as no one can see the driver behind the glass and can get no idea of his or her intention as one can get with people in ordinary cars who can see if they are waved on and respond with acknowledgement.

No one scowls at people who love their cars but no one has the right to cause nuisance with loud exhausts.
