Cost of Queen's visit will outweigh benefits

Queen Elizabeth's visit is causing an undue amount of inconvenience and bringing many places to a standstill. It would have been far more expedient for the queen to be helicoptered to the Phoenix Park and have a cup of tea and crumpets with the President at the Aras and then return to the UK without any security problems.
Instead, the queen's visit means that entire villages and cities will have to come to a stop; and far from bringing business into the country, it will probably take business away, with loss of trade and disruption.
Keeping things simple and straight-forward is better for everybody and a hell of lot more cost effective.
