Corruption must end for good

WHY is it that we Irish do so well when we emigrate? Anyone who has lived abroad -- I am one of that number -- knows how well the Irish are regarded. When we thrive in the US, or Australia, or with our great neighbours in Britain, we do so on the basis of merit alone.
None of us, I assert, ever expects to get a job through "pull" (they call it corruption abroad).
This confirms for me that we are not genetically corrupt, although one could be forgiven for thinking that we were if exposed to Irish public administration long enough.
