Contrary Mary...Hell bound...Crusty fossils...Mills' bill
Former Education minister Mary O'Rourke condemns the her former department for its failure to provide applied behavioural analysis (ABA) to children with autism.
This criticism is greeted from the Dail public gallery with cheers and applause.
Yet, within hours, Mrs O'Rourke walks through the Government lobby and helps defeat a motion critical of the failure to supply such ABA services!
Typical of politics in this country. Short term popularity, long term neglect.

A small drainage job, scheduled to cost €9.5m costs €83m and nobody is disciplined. The Mahon Tribunal, having taken hearsay evidence from an apparently doddering old man, now takes it from Eamon Dunphy. We are shortly to be asked to ratify the Lisbon Treaty. Are our journalists warning us of Declaration 17? No, they are dashing around like flies round a cowpat, wondering at what stage Denis O'Brien got involved in negotiations with the FAI. The country is going to hell in a handcart and this is all they can find to worry about.

Can someone please explain to me why we need to have some old fossils moved to allow for some other fossils to be housed temporarily?
Why not take this chance to get rid of the Seanad if the best they can offer is Donie Cassidy and driving on the right.

Heather Mills should not get a penny from Paul McCartney. In this era of equality, women should not be expecting men to provide for them.
Heather Mills is obviously well able to provide for herself.
Maintenance following marriage breakdown should only be paid for children.
