Concerned at Labour role in public sector

THE Labour Party has been given responsibility for public sector reform. Is this wise?
Labour's support is predominately public sector workers, which doesn't bode well for tough decisions being made. There will be no effort to pick out jobs that are superfluous or non-essential and instead we may end up with thousands of excellent staff gone and lots of highly paid time-servers still in situ.
