'Collusion' issue and queen's visit

Tom Cooper (Letters, July 16) neatly dodges a previous assertion that so-called republican death squads were responsible for more deaths in the Northern conflict than all other organisations put together -- to the tune of 590 in fact, as previously claimed by Niall Ginty (Letters July 9).

Mr Cooper then goes on to call for pressure to be put on British authorities to release files as "it is widely believed that British security forces colluded with loyalists" in those bombings (Dublin and Monaghan).

If Mr Cooper's 'belief' is correct, then of course all matters should be investigated, including state collusion.
