Churchill secured Mr Myers's rights
How wonderful to read Kevin Myers's diatribe against Winston Churchill (Irish Independent, March 30).
His description as "a loathsome . . . war mongering . . . egotistical bully" of the man who held the free world together during the dark days of World War II; whose leadership helped to prevent the Nazi jackboots from stamping all over Ireland and Britain is a joy to read.
A joy? How so? Well, try to imagine a world in which Mr Churchill had failed to hold the allied coalition together.
