Church respected its Catholic Nazis

The Catholic Church has a long and sordid history of anti-Semitism, and this was certainly carried over into Nazi Germany.
Firstly, Hitler never renounced his membership of the church; in fact prayers were said for him on his birthday every year right up to the very end, on orders from the Vatican.
These facts are well known and the church has never found a way to apologise enough for that.
