Church must change or face eradication

In an ever-changing, modernised world, the Catholic Church needs to review its values before Catholicism vanishes completely from Irish society.

The church's views on women priests especially are acutely obsolete and disrespectful to female believers.

There is a worrying lack of young men turning to a life in the priesthood in this country and a change to allow female ordination could ease this problem in some way.
