Church hides behind tradition
Human nature hasn't changed much in 2,000 years. Christ's mission ended in a damp squib when he was humiliated and put to death, but it didn't end there.
There is an ongoing tradition in the Catholic Church of using bullying techniques when confronted with inconvenient truth and then occasionally, hundreds of years later, canonising the victims.
Inventing a link between maleness and the Eucharist for the sake of maintaining an all- male institutional church is not at all surprising under these circumstances.
