Children must get free dental care up to 18

As a parent of four children in primary and secondary school, I would like to appeal to the new Children's Minister Frances Fitzgerald to change the situation whereby children who enter secondary school have to pay for their dental care unless it is an emergency.
In primary school, children are allowed free dental care through local clinics. Unfortunately, parents not being able to afford to send children to private schemes results in children suffering from dental problems later in life.
School-going children should be allowed free dental care up to age 18.
