Celtic Tiger source of embarrassment

A feature of the recent arrival of the IMF to Dublin is the manner in which some unlikely commentators have invoked 'the men of 1916'.
Surely, it is the excesses of the Celtic Tiger years that would have these same poets and soldiers turning in their graves.
We are all aware of the insatiable greed of bankers and the irresponsibility of politicians of all of the parties during these years.
